Florida Golf From Ponte Vedra to Coral Gables
Florida golf covers a lot of ground, and these nine courses show it. On the Atlantic side, Ponte Vedra Beach is home to TPC Sawgrass, a Pete Dye design from 1980, and the Dyes Valley Course from 1987. Down the coast are King & Bear in St. Augustine and Jack Nicklaus's Ocean Hammock in Palm Coast. Inland, Streamsong's Blue and Red courses share ground in Bowling Green. Innisbrook holds the Gulf side in Palm Harbor, and the south has Doral's Golden Palm Course in Miami and the Biltmore in Coral Gables.
Choosing Your Florida Course and Frame
Start with the course that means the most: a winter golf trip, a home club, or the one still on the wish list. For a gift, 18x24 suits most walls, and framed it is ready to hang. 24x32 makes a real centerpiece in an office or den, while 12x16 fits a shelf or hallway. Green frames suit Florida's water and palms, black looks sharp in an office, and white keeps a room light. For a set, pair TPC Sawgrass with Dyes Valley, or hang both Streamsong courses side by side.
