Michigan Golf From 1923 to 1999
These three courses cover most of a century of Michigan golf. Rackham Golf Course in Huntington Woods opened in 1923 and was designed by Donald Ross, one of the great names of early American course design. The University of Michigan Golf Course followed in 1963 and is closely tied to one of the state's best-known schools. Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club in Arcadia opened in 1999 and is the youngest of the group. Together they show how golf in Michigan has grown across generations of players.
Picking Your Michigan Print and Frame
Start with the course that means the most to you, whether it's your home course, your college course or the round from a summer trip. The 12x16 suits a desk or bookshelf. The 18x24 fills a den or office wall, and the 24x32 holds its own above a sofa or bar. Black frames sharpen the lines, white keeps things light and green picks up the color of the fairways. Hang two or three side by side for a Michigan golfer and you have a thoughtful gift and a record of rounds played.
