Three Designers at One La Quinta Property
PGA West in La Quinta, California, brings three different design voices together in one place. Pete Dye's Stadium Course and Jack Nicklaus's Tournament Course both opened in 1987, and Greg Norman's course followed in 1999. Each architect shaped the fairways, greens, bunkers and water in their own way, and that comes through clearly when every hole is laid out and numbered on paper. Put the three maps next to each other and you can see how differently each routing moves across the property.
Picking Your PGA West Print or Set
Start with the course they play most, or the one they remember best from a trip to La Quinta. For a single gift, 18x24 suits most walls. 24x32 gives a den or office a real focal point, and 12x16 works on a shelf, a desk or in a smaller study. Since the property has three courses, it lends itself to a set of two or three in matching frames, hung side by side. Black looks classic, white keeps things light, and green nods to the fairways.
