Eight Decades of Virginia Golf
These three courses span more than eight decades of Virginia golf, in three different parts of the state. The Cascades Course in Hot Springs dates to 1923 and was designed by William S. Flynn. In Williamsburg, the Golden Horseshoe Gold Course followed in 1963, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Highland Course at Primland Resort in Meadows of Dan is the newest, a 2006 design by Donald Steel. That's three architects, three towns and three eras, each mapped hole by hole from the first tee to the final green.
Picking Your Virginia Course Print
Start with the course that matters most, whether it marks a favorite trip or a round still talked about years later.
